How we pick deals
A big “70% off” badge tells you nothing. We check what the product really sold for.
Every deal is checked by hand
Before a deal goes on LootSaathi, we open it on the store, check the current price and stock, and compare it with the product’s own price over the last few months. The time of the last check is shown next to every deal.
The Deal Score
Each deal gets a score from 0 to 100. It is built from four things:
- Real discount, the biggest part: how far the price is below what the product usually sold for in the last 90 days.
- Close to the lowest price: how near it is to the cheapest price of the past year.
- Quality: star rating and how many people rated it.
- Urgency: lightning deals ending soon.
Points are taken away when the price was raised just before the sale, or when reviews are few or weak. Scores of 80 and above are marked Buy now, 60 to 79 Good deal, 40 to 59 Fair, and below 40 Wait.
What we never do
- Compare against an inflated MRP to make a discount look bigger.
- Post a deal we haven’t checked, or one that’s out of stock.
- Let a higher commission decide which deal goes first. The score decides.
- Ask for your card number. The calculator only needs bank names, and it runs on your phone.
